Quoi de neuf

The Stud farm of Morsanglière

In Normandy, within the heart of the “pays d’Auge”, ground of horse breeding for generations, the Stud farm of Morsanglière is spread over 60 ha of hilly fields with rich grass.

The Stud farm has around fifty horses, including stallions, brood mares, foals and young horses in training.

The brood mares were selected for their high genetic value, their conformation, and their performances. They bring by their origins the blood of the best European lines:

· SF (Double Espoir, Uriel, Noren, Almé, Quastor, Alcaméra de Moyon, Quidam de Revel…)
· KWPN (Equador, Zuidhorn, Rigoletto…)
· Holsteiner (Ramiro, Jus de Pomme, Cor de la Bryère, Codex…)

Thanks to their excellent career in show jumping, our foreign mares are all “Facteur de SF”, i.e. approved to produce SF, and some are even classified Elite by the Haras Nationaux, the public structure which promotes and enhances horse breeding.

Our foals and young horses are issued from the best performers and sires of champions: Quidam de Revel, Dollar du Murier, Diamand de Sémilly, Dollar de la Pierre, le Tôt de Semilly, Voltaire, Totoche du Banney… and of course the “home” stallions LOTUS and GUIDARC.

The Stud farm is proud to propose you the semence of Lotus XV, by Equador and Hornfee by Zuidhorn. Lotus was ridden by Patrice Delaveau, with whom it was placed regularly in National and International Grand Prix (Victorious of the GP of Gaillon and St Hilaire of Harcouet, 6th of the GP with the CSI *** of Chantilly…). After an injury, he is now dedicated to his reproductive duties.

His first foals, born in 2004, inherited his leaping pace, they are athletic, well balanced, with a strong back, bones and height. All his foals are bay or dark brown, with a pretty head.

Guidarc, the newly acquired stallion, by Guidam and Untoucheble by Darco, will be ridden next year by Patrice Delaveau. After an injury, he won’t compete this year, but was able to start his reproductive duties.
